Art & Dreams

It really is hard to write your first blog post. Every time I type, I keep pressing the delete button for some reason. Somehow it seems so much easier to write about what I am doing currently. I have so many thoughts and I had millions of ideas on what to post but now that I am writing I'm just sort of freezing. I am so fascinated by Salvador Dali. I love the surrealistic world, and I have been passionate about art for quite some time now. I have done my own paintings however they are mostly abstract, painting what's inside my head. Just a few months back I had some beautiful dreams. I never dreamed anything like that before. I remember I was in London, but somehow the location seemed so familiar, it was near my parents' house in the northern part of Denmark. I was trying to find my way around and got lost at every tube station. I suddenly discovered this beautiful place with white statues. I was there with a friend of mine I believe. It was such a peaceful place. I really do not know how but I ended up alone again and I was around two adults and their children. It was midnight. I turned around and the adults were pointing up and I looked the same way. In the beautiful darkest blue night skies the stars were shining bright and glittery. All of a sudden a unicorn was running really fast leaving glittery stars after it. I remember seeing a beautiful angel statue just beneath the unicorn, when another came running again. The children were joyful and I remember feeling so happy myself and amazed by what I had seen as they disappeared once again. I woke up and I was so amazed!!! That is the most beautiful dream I ever had. Just few weeks later I experienced the same. This time I was at some place with really tall and big houses, the roads were crooked and small, it was hard turning as they all went up hill. Nearby there was a beach, but a familiar beach, it was again a place near my parents' house. Not the houses but the beach. I remember sitting on the beach seeing something similar near some luminous skies. I really wish I could dream away like that or put it on canvas, but hard I guess. I will try to paint what I saw once I am done with my uni work. Back to Salvador Dali! I browsed some paintings and was so fascinated by some surrealistic paintings and I thought they were painted by Dali. Later I found out that they were painted by Vladimir Kush! I am so thrilled...It is as if his art is just dragging me into the picture, taking me somewhere near cloud 9. They are really beyond beautiful and the creativity really inspires me to do something different that stands out. Every little detail just takes my breath away. I have not seen all the paintings by him but whenever I see a new one my heart skips a beat. I love how you can express your ideas and imaginations on canvas. Art is really mind reading if you put a little effort to it.
